I have a Johnson 9.9 outboard motor that starts and runs okay but will sputter out after a period of time until I squeeze the primer bulb on fuel line. I believe it is loosing its fuel supply but I do not how to repair it. Any suggestions.

Please post you model number or year of the outboard.
Could be a couple of things:
Clogged fuel filter screen (under cap on fuel pump).
Defective fuel pump
Carburetor float sticking

i would say you , either your fuel tank vent is not open, you have an air leak in the fuel system, weak fuel pump. or sticking needle valve in the carb, or the carb is flooding the motor.
