9.9 Johnson

I just bought my first boat and motor/trailor/fishfinder, and Trolling motor. A small (12 ft.) Alum. Springbok, with a 9.9 Johnson. The motor had been well looked after, with not alot of hrs. on it. However, I would like an Owner/Operator manual for it. If anyone can tell me the year, then I can start from there.<br /><br />Model# 10R 76G<br />Serial # C 4764<br /><br />Thanks for any help!

Hi & welcome...<br /><br />While your waiting for your manual, you should read this. It's excellent. <br /><br />9.9 / 15 hp maintenance article<br /><br />You might consider changing the impeller and lower unit lube unless you know this has been done recently. These are great motors... just need a little preventative maintenance to keep 'em purrin' along for a long time. <br /><br />if you've found this site, you're already on the right path.
