Hello I have a Force 9.9 model #92F90A
serial # 1180. The outboard starts right up easily. Shortly after it starts it sometimes has a misfire, then it will idol fine and rev up fine , then misfire. Doesn't seem to matter if it's cold or hot . What I did so far. At first I though it was a lean condition hiccup. Rebuilt carb, sent a little richer mix down it's throat . Same problem. I purchased a spark checking tool that has a light bulb and gets installed between the plug and the spark plug boot. I found that my number 2 cylinder sometimes loses spark at idol and when running at higher RPM.
When it has Spark it will jump 1/2" and it's bright blue.
I checked for lose connections , all seems good. Not sure what direction to go. I'd hate to start changing parts with out knowing for sure. Any suggestions on troubleshooting further would be greatly appreciated .
