Can I remove seal with out pulling the shaft and housing? If so, will a sheet metal screw on a slide hammer help with pulling the seal?<br /><br />Thanks any confidence before I screw up something that I believe will be a simple <br />job.
I think it would be safer and easier to pull the bearing housing. There is 2 seals in there back to back. One slip with the sheet metal screw and you'll damage the shaft....Besides. it won't hurt to change the o-ring as well. The shaft doesn't have to come out. Four bolts and you're in the money.....
