Hi guys. I have a '90 Evinrude 100XP I acquired with a boat last month. Supposed to run good. Have a guy coming over Sunday to check it all over for me. Anyway, I was looking it over a little closer tonight and noticed these two wires not connected to anything on the rear of the motor. I did some wiring diagram searches and still cant figure them out. I was hoping maybe someone on here would know what they were for. Thanks.

That would make sense. I was told that either the pump or trim motor was replaced last summer. Good to know its not anything critical.

The spade connectors are original to that motor, unplug the t-n-t wires you see in that picture and they are in the plug.

Possibly for the trim gauge on the dash?

Thanks for the replies guys. The wires are the old trim wires. Looks like the other ends were just cut when the old part was removed.
