90 force bogs down

I have a 90 Force 1991 that is acting funny.
It starts well, and runs fine in reverse,
but when I put it in forward, hit the throttle it boggs and dies,
I have tried - feul pump diaphragm, new hoses, cleaning breather hose from tank, adjusting carbs, cleaning carbs.
Any ideas ?

Check the compression and make sure you are getting a good strong "snappy" blue spark on all plugs.

Compression was 145 in 1, 120 in 2, 125 in 3 and 1440 in 4.
Took head off to see if I could find a reason for the difference.
Head gasket was blown, have a new one on order and will update when
installed.
It is actually a 120 4 cylinder.

was a blown head gasket,
water was getting into cylinders causing it to bogg down,
even compression in all cylinders now
runs great.
