so we took the motor to a repair shop. The mechanic thought it might be the flywheel, which was missing a few teeth and it was replaced, also replaced starter gears/rebuilt starter . No difference 
The motor does not do it unless it is under load/power. just idling nothing, but give it gas and start cruising and spuratically every 30 sec to a min. it will make this "bang" almost like a "backfire" Any ideas or thoughts?
