90 hp-Johnson cutting out

Here's a head scratcher. My 90 Johnson just started cutting out when pushing throttle down.
If I push the power trim button in the down position after its all thew down it quits cutting out
Not sure what the power trim and tilt button would have to do with anything????????

I replaced the trim and tilt switch it didn't help. Still cuts out unless you depress the down button continually for trim

Have you checked for a fuel restriction, or a short in a wire in the engine...?

Actually have 2 fuel lines. It runs fine when the trim is continually depressed. I had a fellow look at it on saturday with his test equipment and he said its a bad
power pack. Have one on order will up date when I install it. Hope that is the problem its pricey.
