90 hp johnson no start ... quick question ...

hey guys... early to mid 90's johnson 90 hp wont start. turn the key and you can hear the starter solenoid click but thats it. starter bad ?? is there a way to jump the starter to see if it it will engage ?? thanks guys, scott

Battery cables. Make sure the ends are all shiny and tight. If that doesn't fix it, you can bypass the solenoid with a booster cable right from its main input terminal to the starter lug.
