I just purchased a SmokerCraft ProMag With a 98' 90 hp Mariner and I do not know if it is a 4 or 2 stroke. I need to know if i need to add oil to gas, and if so, at what ratio?

It's a 2 stroke.50:1 mix if your engine is non oil injected.

Almost for sure a 2-stroke. I don't think Mariner had a 4cycle that big in '98.
Pull the cowl and there should be an oil injection tank on the side of the motor. Fill it about 3/4 full of a good quality TC-W3 oil and you should be good to go.
Don't fill it all the way -- Mariners in those years tend to leak out the top of the injector tank when the engine is tilted up.

Dave
