Check your ignition switch. Remove the wires on the ignition that go to the Magnitos i think? There should be a "m" on the terminal were the wire/s are connected to the back of the ignition and remove them from the terminals.They might be blue or white or one white and one blue. Then turn the key.If it starts this way with the two wires unhooked,after it is started with engine running touch one of the wires to the terminal you unhooked it from and the motor should die I had this happen on a bayliner i owned. I unhooked the the two wires on the ignition switch that were marked "m" and it started. After running i turned the key to kill it and nothing. touched the wires and it died. I ran a wire from the ignition switch were i unhooked the wires to a toggle switch and started and killed the motor that way.
