Right now I have a 14X19 3 blade aluminum prop on my 90 HP 2 stoke Johnson 2001. The boat is a 18 foot flats boat and weighs 950lbs without the engine and without people and gear. I'm thinking about getting a 3 blade stainless. I can currently run wide open on a flat lake and hit 37mph. I wasn't sure if this is good at full speed. Usually I have 4 passengers. That was GPS speed so it's as accurate as can be I believe. If I pitched down would it make an improvement or should I stay where I'm at? Anyone with a similar set up I'm open to information and advice. Thanks in advanced everyone

Re: 90 hp prop

What rpm are you running at 37? Without rpm speed doesn't mean much.
From my limited reading and test observations true flats boats don't produce much speed.I would say your speed is within range.
