90 or 115 and what year Evinrude????

after searching for about 3 hrs i am giving up and asking...
by the trim tilt motor under the trim tilt switch and on the mounting plate i found the numbers 188497 and 29K02
on the top of the engine in a silver disk i found C3821177
this engine is on my girlfriends 18ft willard utility boat that she uses for diving... so it might be an old military engine as the hull was build for the navy...
when we bought the boat about 8 years ago we were told it was 115hp with a 90hp cover??? evinrude

Take that serial number (C3821177) to any Johnson / Evinrude dealer and they can contact BRP to get the model. You might try BRP customer service yourself but it might be better if a dealer contacted them.
