90HP 81 Johnson V4 started sputtering at higher rpm

Had a problem with ignition....had to replace connectors to spark plugs because they were mangled by the cowling latches.
Was working fine for a couple of months. Now started to misfire while under way. What would be the first things to do to resolve this?

Make sure that the spark plug wires are solid core. Make sure that the spark plug wires are as far from the cowl latches as possible.

Check your spark plugs for signs of running lean. Air leaks can cause misfires. You may also want to clean your high speed jets.

Thanks for your reply, the plugs were changed recently, the plug cables were also. I would like to clean the high speed jets. Is the high speed jet easily accessible?
