90hp driveshaft length

Have a 1991 90hp johnson. Are there some points on the leg/lower unit to measure to determine the driveshaft length. Looking for a replacement and want to get something the correct length. Thanks.

Yes, Thos.

Measure from the underside of the transom clamp to the anti-ventilation plate. About 20" is a long shaft, about 25" is Xtralong.

You can also find that info in the model number. Look for an "L" or an "X" in the model number.
