90hp inboard force any good?

Hey guys, I'm looking at another boat and it's a 1991 bayliner with a 90hp i/o force. Is this the dreaded "L" drive? Or is there another force inboard outboard?

While there are a few Force fans out there running Ldrives successfully;
even the Force fans avoid them.
