I just bought this boat knowing it had some issues, for $500 I couldn't pass on it. It came with the motor and Trailer that is in good shape. I started by removing the rotten decks and seats. I cleaned out the fuel tank, put new hoses, rewired the boat and got the motor running. Motor is a 83 115hp Evinrude that needed rebuilt carbs, a new coil and a by-pass gasket. Then I put my 6" jackplate on it and went for a ride and let me tell you that thing hauls ***** with nothing in it turning a 21p raker, 50/50 in 97octane. I was passing guys with 150's with ease and they were like damn that 90 runs, oh yeah it has a 90hp cover so they have no idea its a 115. It turns up too many RPM's but it should drop down when I'm finish adding the decks, seats, etc. If not I'll have the prop worked with more pitch. Anyway I was wondering if I should go with plywood again for the decks are is there something better?

Ayuh,... After you add,+ subtract all the Pluses,+ Minus's of All the materials Possible,....
Plywood still Wins...
