91, 225 looper starboard side running hot

Thanks , I have a 1991 225 looper and the starboard side of the head is running 20 to 30 hotter then the port side ,I changed both stats and has new water pump. It is still running hotter on one side then the other .All the plugs look very good,and both temp gauges check out ,as well as compression is 90 across the board, <br /> I alos have one oyher ? what is the diffrence between dwell timing and timing the motor has two adjusments ,the dwell timing may have been moved a bit thanks John

I can't help you on the timing but as far as the temp, there could be some blockage in the ports. I've also read that the port side of motor tends to be a little warmer than the starboard due to water circulating through starboard side first, but I may be only partially correct.
