The part circled in the above left picture stops the Cam & Link Retainer, it stops the throttle at idle. That part has a screw and is adjustable. I don't see that part mentioned anywhere in the OMC Service Manual, nor do I see the part listed in any parts diagram for the 1991 6 or 8hp. Mine engine has it. Can anyone tell me the part number of that part and what function its adjustment plays in the Synch & Link process?
