I just had the carbs rebuilt and fuel pump replaced, Boat ran fine for about 1 hour then when it started it was very hesistant when trying to get on plane did this like twice in a row I checked the bulb one time it was not completely hard i squeezed it didnt make a difference ran fine later any ideas???

Water in your gas? Maybe the carbs weren't the problem. Maybe what was in them was.

If it ran one hour, I doubt that you started out with water in the fuel. Athough there are ways it can get in the tank while underway. One that comes to mind is the vent tube. Have you checked to see if it's clogged or taking on water? Maybe gas is finding it's way into the vent tube and blocking the vent. Make sure it's higher than the fuel tank or has a loop in it. Another suggestion, is make sure you are getting good spark to all the plugs. The spark should jump from the wire to the block about 1/2" or more. A spark tester is a good tool to have in your box. Just some suggestions for now..

When was the last time the water pump was changed? Might have got hot...

New plugs were in, compression is good on all cylinders. i'll check the vent issue boat rides very low in water get a little transom over wash when slowing down sometimes, plus the transom hole was blocked up so it held a lot of water. thanks for the ideas this boat is new to me I suspect the water pump needs to be replace, its on my list of things to do to it??? Thanks for all the imput
