Welcome to iboats! Remove the solenoid and clean it up,re-install it, and try it.<br />If it werks,you only need to water proof it. If not, you may have to replace it.<br />To see, get a jumper cable,and jump the two larger contacts. Watch out for stray sparks aflying around. Keep all fuel,gas tanks and such away,and have a fire extinquisher nearby.<br />The chances of this are very rare, but you best be prepared. If there is a short or heavy starter draw, sparks will REALLY fly.<br />This would indicate a shorted starter.
