91' OMC 4.3L slipping when given quick throttle

Still a newbie in the boating world. I took my 91 four winns 190 freedom out yesterday. When you give it quick throttle and the boat takes off, it feels like a quick slip after it takes off. I know this is probably not normal. Any ideas on what this could be or where I should check?

It's more like a smooth slip. Not clunk noise or anything like that. It's almost like a hesitation I would say, but the engine stays steady and smooth. It's just a slip that feels like possibly it may be coming from the prop or outdrive.

try another prop...sounds like your hub is slipping
