With the help of this site I have successfully resurrected my trim guage, tachometer, cleaned my pitot tube to get my speedo working for my 90hp 1991 Yamaha with the 703 unit. However I have run into a problem with the oil level lights. None come on. Though previously the amber light was on whenever the key was on, and stayed on until the low oil alarm was sounding.
I have confimed 12v power is coming into the control box behind the dash (8H1 CONTROL UNIT STANLEY BV015-14') the circuit to the oil level float switch is also carrying 12v and I have confirmed all the bulbs connected to the four pin plug are functional.
The problem as I see it is the voltage out of the Stanley box is only 0.5v to the green and red and nothing to the yellow (with a near full oil level)
Can any one shed a little light on the issue before I head out to my tech and get his opinion.
