Thought this was a nice tribute.

The owner's names are John & Amy Holmgren. They live in Shafer, MN. They thought this would be a nice tribute to the people that lost their
lives.
It has every name of each person that lost their life on 9-11.
This concept was thought up by John and Amy, and totally paid for by them.
John says he will be awhile paying the loan off that he had to take out to
do it but, thought this was the least he could do. Applied Graphics in
Fargo, ND did most of the work and Paul Kosenski did the Hand painting.
He said that he got to meet the Country Singer Darryl Worley, who Sang the
song "Have You Forgotten" and has gotten pulled over 3 times by
the police just to get their picture taken by this truck. (I would have
pulled him over too!!)
He plans on attending the Mid America Truck show in Louisville, KY in
March.
It is called the Rolling 9-11 Memorial, it has all the names of the people
that were killed on that day and the flights they were on
plus some other graphics on the side of the Tractor.

Isn't it amazing how fast we forget?

Just 2 replies over 3 days to this post!

Seems everyone thinks that September 11th is just ancient history!

Guess you had to have been there!

What a shame!

Great pics gonfishn.

At least that trucker hasn't forgotten!

Just my opinion and observation over the last few months, not trying to insult or assault anyone here at iboats, just had say what's on my mind after viewing the lack responses to these pics.

The lack of responses makes me sad.

Re: 911 tribute

Its a wonderful tribute and I'm happy that it will make its tour around the U.S. reminding citizens how fragile life is.

I cried for months for those who lost their lives on September 11 and for their families.

With time the pain muted I know now they are being honored with acts that strengthen the idea of America everyday by people who truly care but most of all by our soldiers and their families.

I feel only a deep anger against the insanity and evil sweeping the world, and rage against those too cowardly to fight. That feeling is with me everyday.

I cry no more. The time for tears is past. It's time to support our fight against evil.

I am posting the rest of the truck not to open old wounds. But only to show one mans tribute to those who had fallen. I can't imagine the cost to him to express what many of us feel here.

gonfishn,

Great pics!

Thanks for posting them.

Looks like that trucker feels the same as I do, look at that second pic.

That truck belongs in the Smithsonian Institute, along side the rest of the Sept. 11th stuff!!!

Re: 911 tribute

What a terrific undertaking on the owners part. The list of names is a remarkable statment. The smithonian no, A tour of the country with frequent stops so people can look at that long list of 'Actual People' that died that day is more fitting. A quick glance on the hwy would be remarkable but would not deliver the gravity of the message.

I have not forgotten but I do not dwell on it either, somewhere between these two options is the healthiest balance.

Thanks Gonfishn, A Tribute like that is worth passing along.

Although this would not be my style, the message is clear:Never to forget, for if we do forget we condemn ourselves to more of the same
In the Arab world there are those that claim it never happened and that it was all staged by Americans as an excuse to attack the moslem world. If we ever forget the truth, their "truth" will be in the history books.

I dunno.. I kind of feel strange about that being on the side of a truck..

I praise the owner for it (it's beautiful work), but it borderlines on the sacreligious for me... :(
