'92-25 Merc primer question...

My 25 Merc has a primer, rather than a choke. The diaphragm went bad so I ordered a primer/injector service kit. There are many small parts in this kit and I was wondering, would it be ok to just replace the diaphragm for now or should I go ahead replace all of the parts. The motor's on the boat, which is out at the dock, and I'm afraid<br />I'll drop something in the water if I try to change those small parts out there. I know the correct procedure would be to take the motor off and lug it into my garage, but I'm too old, weak and lazy for that.

No, don't bother. All those other parts are a waste anyway, and they never work right and you'll probobly drop them in the water.

The primer works fine now. I'll change the tiny parts when I pull the boat up this fall.
