92 Acura Integra with 150K miles.

Anybody know if there is a way to tighten up the steering wheel play? I can move the wheel back and fourth quite a bit before the wheels turn.

Or do I have to replace the whole rack?

(Here's wishing I can just turn a screw like my old 66 Impala SS).

Ken

Ken You really need to check and see where the slack may be. It could be loose tie rod ends,(inner or outter) the rack itself could be loose on its mounts. If the problem is internal in the rack, it will have to be remanufactured or replaced. I would opt for the replacement if its an internal problem.

BTW welcome home :)

Not the best with rice burnners but I don't believe they are adjustable.Jack her up[ both sides] with side to side motion on tire check for play,if theres lots check outer rod ,tight check inner,it's tricky it's under the boot cover so wrap your hand around boot and have some one else shake the tire, inners will give you lots of play in the steering wheel
