Left my wagon sun roof and windows open about 2" last night and we had a little rain.
Car wouldn't start, low battery. Jumped it and drove to work. Had to come home to meet the well driller. Low battery no start, jumped and drove home.
During the drive home I was checking out some things. Cigar lighter would not work but when pushed in the radio would blank out and have an error message no time shown.
When I got home I pulled the #2 fuse, it was blown. Met with the well driller and started looking at the car.
I replaced the fuse and things were a little weird. The #2 fuse controls the lighter, rear window wiper, glove box light, rear gate open warning light, alert alarm for lights and key and the radio or part of the radio? The radio also has a seperate fuse. If I tried the lighter, wiper, or opened the glove box /light on/ - the radio would blank out, no music or time, and the rear gate warning light would glow. This would happen with or without the fuse in place. The new fuse did not blow.
I pulled the fuse and set a meter across the fuse, at times it read .2 volts and at times it read 1.4 volts, I could not figure out how or why it kept changing voltage.
I disconnected the glove box light, which had a slight glow even with the switch in the off position, unplugged the lighter, the rear gate plugs and the rear wiper. This did not effect the voltage draw.
The none of the items controled by fuse #2 were wet this morning. The seats and the door handle window switches and the seat controls were wet. These are not on fuse #2.
Any ideas on whats going on?
