92 evinrude 70 stalled while trolling

i have a 92 evinrude 70hp my question is when i was trolling for about an hour the motor stalled out of the blue then had to crank for about 30 sec before it would restart.once it started i opened it up and it ran fine.did it flood fron idling too long,is their a limit how long you can troll with this motor
i dont want to get stuck out in the bay

Check the carbs. But its never too good to troll that long IMHO. These engines need to open up and run.

what is the limit of time i can troll before i have to open it up
or should i not troll at all with it any imput would be great before i go out again
