I just had the CDI unit on my 115 Yamaha replaced after a no spark problem.<br /><br />Now, the engine misfires between 4,000 and 5,000 rpms, after which and before which it runs like a top.<br /><br />I've talked to the mechanic who did the work and he's assured me that it's not the used CDI unit that he replaced, but a clogged valve in the carb. <br /><br />I have two questions for the forum. <br /><br />1) Could this possibly be the unit he replaced? and <br />2) If this is a clogged valve in the carb, is this something I can see, diagnose and fix myself? I understand that it may be hard to find out which valve is clogged without pulling it apart, but once I do, will I be able to see and clear the valve?<br /><br />Thanks in advance!<br /><br />Brendan
