Hi..
I have a 92 yahama 30 hp and the dash mounted voltmeter has been climbing up into the 19volt scale.
I lower it by turning on the running lights which brings it down to about 13 to 14 vdc.
Soooooo I figured it was the rectifier and ordered a new one from iboats and installed it today.
Same problem.
I have not checked the actual voltage at the battery. If it is 18 volts...then what?
If it is 12-14 volts is it the voltmeter itself?
This is a puzzler.
Thanks for any help.
The Clymer manual is NO help on this one..I have one.
