I've just purchased a SeaCraft 23 with this engine and checked compression...all cylinders between 105 and 108 lbs. Runs and seems to shift fine. The boat has been setting up for awhile, so I'm thinking, replace water pump impeller kit, lower unit fluid....what else should I be doing?

Also, what is the recommended RPM range for this engine?

Thanks for the help!

try running 3/4 of a gallon of gas along with a can of seafoam, if the boat has been sittin awhile, it surely cannot hurt, replace fuelpumps(may be dry) good luck with boat i have a custom seacraft, good boat
