Just bought a boat with a 93 40 HP Evinrude. Have had Mercury, but no experience with Evinrude, and have now discovered the tilt assist unit has been completely removed. Replacement looks expensive. Is there a way to lock down the outboard when underway to prevent it from kicking up in reverse or if it would hit something?
