93 40hp force no fire

i have a 40 hp force it was running fine i cut it off to do some fishing and it whouldnt crack back up i have tryed bypassing safety switch but didnt not help i really dont know what to look at next need some help

Are you sure it is ignition? If not, spray some mixed fuel into the carb,and try it. If it sputters,it's a fuel problem. If not, you may have lost the stator,trigger,or switchbox.<br />The black-yellow wire to the ignition switch from the engiine is the one to disconnect at the motor to check both lanyard ,ignition switch, and wire harness for shorts to ground (which would kill the ignition).
