Recently I was out on the water and my outboard developed dramatic surging around 3500 RPM thru WOT randomly and inconsistently. This is the first time this problem has every happened. I took it easy and limped back and when I returned to the dock and opened the hood, I noticed the block was soaked in 2 stroke fuel and oil. I started the motor with the cover off and observed fuel pulsing out of the #2 recirculation hose near the brass nipple. It looks like the hose dried out and developed a tear (probably original hoses from 1993). I want to replace this line and proactively replace the remaining recirculation lines so to avoid similar issues.
I found the part # for the lines as #335802 OMC from the catalog and schematic diagrams. I can not find the hose on the internet using that part # and also can not find the hose size (inner and outer diameters) such that I can order a roll of hose. Does anyone know what the size is or a replacement part # that is different than the one I listed?
