Does anyone know of an Evinrude factory service bulletin related to drilling and tapping a new hole at the top of the heads for the pee hole tube for a '93 70 horse Evinrude? I had an overheat problem and the mechanic found a 1994 bulletin that recommened this procedure to eliminate air locks in this engine. My engine (after 16 years of use) developed these syspmptoms (Overheat-blow steam from pee hole). Why would this happen now and not anyime during the past 16 years? Am I getting the right repairs? He tapped a new source and change water pump and thermostat as well.
