My 93 70hp force won't start. Shut it down while on the water, wouldn't start but cranks over fine. I changed the switch box, tried disconnecting blacj/yellow wire from switchbox (kill wire?) Still no spark.

I believe the two need to make a connection in order to allow spark to your plugs if your referring to safety kill switch at the helm.
Could also be a fuse or circuit breaker on the motor. Have you verified fuel to your motor.

If you do connect the wires together make sure your in neutral before attempting to start your motor. If in gear and hardwired this way it will start while in gear and can be dangerous so please be careful.

Try disconnecting the two yellow wires from the stator to the rectifier and try again. If sparks return then the reg/rect is bad.

He says he has a spark problem not a fuel problem?
Outboardignitiondotcom has test procedures?

You check the kill switch?
Check the flywheel key?

Check for loose wires or bad connections.

Try checking your stator. If you have a Blue and Red stator wires going to your Switch Box, you should get the following resistance readings when checking from the stator wire to ground. Disconnect the stator wires from the Switch box before you check the resistance. Blue to Ground should read 3250 - 3650 OHMs. Red to ground should read 75 - 90 OHMs.

If you've disconnected the Black/Yellow wire from the Switch Box (Ignition Kill Circuit) and still do not get spark, I would suspect that the stator is bad. Most likely the Blue winding (Low speed winding) is bad.
