1993 Johnson 60 HP, model #J60TLETD. When I pump primer bulb I hear a hissing sound of air and primer bulb is not getting fully hard. As this occurs I can see fuel leaking down from the top carb, but can't pinpoint where it's exactly coming from. It is a lot of fuel.
Boat started fine at the lake, i noticed there was a problem when she wouldn't get up to top RPM as normal. She had a little bit of surge in her. Then when I throttled back to idle, she died. Started right back up, but then doesn't respond to throttle opening up, takes her a while to get RPMs up even with throttle wide open. That's when I noticed the large fuel slick on the water.
Any ideas and course of action I should take? History of motor includes I rebuilt carbs last summer, no previous problems with that. VRO was pumping too much oil into engine per boat mechanic, so I bypassed VRO and run premix. I had the boat out one time since VRO bypass and all was well. This fuel leak problem seems to have just suddenly popped up.
Thanks in advance.
