93 johnson help

[Johnson Marine]

I have a 93 3hp johnson motor. That will not start. The carb is clean and motor has new plugs. Saw that the air sliencer had a big crack in it. Could that be my problem. Thanks for the help.

Silencer is not the problem. Go here http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=299680 and do the troubleshooting in "outboard won't start".
