Hello all,

I picked up this early 90s Mach1 Concorde last winter. It is 27ft with a mid-cabin and open bow. It has turned into much more of a project than I had planned, but thats ok since I'm a mechanic by trade. The whole cockpit floor was rotten as well as the floor in the cabin. The engine is needing a rebuild since the oil looks like a vanilla milkshake. I have gotten most of the cockpit floor taken out and the cabin floor has been removed also. If anyone has any info on these boats I'm all ears.

The cockpit floor goes all the way up under the rear wall of the cabin in front of and under the helm station. I've looked at it quite a bit and it looks like I'll need to take down that rear wall to get the floor all the way out. Any other ideas? I'm looking forward to fixing up this boat and am wanting to do it right so it lasts.

Well, I got the gimbal housing pulled off tonight as well as pulling the gimbal bearing. The gimbal bearing race is scored from the bearing rollers sitting in one place too long it seems and the outer edge where the u-joint bellows attaches is severely chipped and broken.20210520_180456.jpg20210520_180441.jpg
