Hello all, I'm new to posting. I would like to know your thoughts on a 2013 winter project... I have 93 Sea Ray Bow Rider 200 4.3 v6 Mercruiser. I have only owned this boat for one year.. The deck seem to SOLID... i was told by the original owner it was replaced around 2000.. no proof of that other than the decking look different than manufacturer look... Here is what i would like your in put on, the boat has two back to back seats with the two rear "jump" seats with an engine cover and a short sundpad, i can move the two rear jump seats up to make a larger sun pad.. I would like to take out the two back to back seats, jump seats and engine cover,
here is my boat

and put wrap around sitting such as this with one captain's seat
like this,
WB_wakeboat2.jpgI know it will not look as good, but just the seating arrangement is what i am after.
also put a full sun pad like this

Is it doable, or a waste of time and money? or just try and sell it and buy one more up to date..PS im not rich!
Thanks for any input...have a good guys,,,, and ladies

Dude, you only gave an hour between posts. Many of us with ongoing restoration projects were working on ours when you posted.

Anything is doable. I have the same sort of seating configuration in mine. I have debated changing my rear seating to the bench style and larger sun deck, but decided to keep it as it is since my only argument for it was that I think it looks cooler.

Regarding if it's a waste of time and money, that's completely up to you. The return on investment for pretty much anything boat-related is valued in the enjoyment you, your family and friends get out of it. The only people who make money off of boats are the manufacturers, dealers, service people, and brokers.
