the motor is in showroom condition even though its 8 years old but the other day on the lake it did just fine until I cranked it to come in..It wouldn't idle right, it idled way too high. So high that I had trouble putting it in neutral. I had to choke it almost until it was about to stop..switch it to N and then let off the choke then it would go right back up to high idle. I came home and greased the throttle cable but thats not it. I have noticed it spit/backfire when cranked a couple of times in past few months but it would run just fine so I didn't follow up. Could the two problems be connected. Any advice would be helpful. thanks<br /><br />PS- it's an electric start/tiller handle if this helps...thanks again
