my engine is running rich at low speed. I notice that the low speed orfice is a 43 and the high speed is a 39. Is this correct, should the low speed be larger than the high speed. If this is correct I guess something has to be wrong with one of the carbs. They were rebuilt last summer. Any suggestions anyone?

Just some quick research for you... (there seems to be a TON of choices for that motor for the carb kits, so need the specific model #), but from what I read, the idle speed orifices should be somewhere between a 25-42 Depending on the model and carb.

The high speed should be a 57-72 (again depending on model #).

It seems that maybe when they were rebuilt, someone mussed something up, or got the jets mixed up.

(also, just making sure, you know the Idle speed is the top jet, and the High speed is the bottom). Easy to think its the other way around! :)
