I have a 94 Johnson 48HP that is giving me some problems. After trolling or idling for about 10 minutes or so (sometimes less), when I go to throttle up, the motor will not run above 3000 rpm. It seems like it is bogging down. This also happens sometimes when I am just running along at full throttle (5200 rpm)then all of a sudden, out of the blue, it starts running bad. If I shut down the motor for about 10 seconds or so, everything is fine. The fuel bulb is hard, and everything else seems OK, but still this minor problem. Other than that, the engine runs great! Also, what is the correct Champion spark plug for this engine. I picked some up from the local Auto Zone, but they did not help the problem (gapped them to 35 as I don't do much trolling). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
