I need some help. I own a 95 115 hp Evinrude that sunnk in the lake last Labor Day. The motor was only partially submerged. I took it to a dealer for repairs and have gotten extremely poor service. I received the boat back and it will run fine for about 2 hours. After 2 hours, the #1 cylinder looses fire. I took it back to the dealer and they could not duplicate it. I convinced them to replace the coil, however, when I took it back out, I had the same symtoms after 2 hours of operation.
I do not want to take it back to the dealer, so my questions is," Any idea as to what is causing these symptoms?"
It is only effecting the #1 cylinder, All Wiring has been checked, Plugs checked, Coil replaced.

Warm the power pack with hair dryer,to duplicate misfire. Misfire on one cylinder could be sparkplug wire, coil, power pack, timer. My guess is power pack. The trick to finding the problem is run the engine in water until misfire, then check with meters.

Thanks for your input. We were thinking that it is the power pack as well.
Is the timer you are refering to the same as what is called the trigger?
Also, we think that it is a 90 degree motor, but my father will verify.

Thanks again.
