95 130 HP Johnson looses power / runs at 10 mph

My 95 130 hp johnson was running along at 25 mph for 30 minutes
and then lost power and shut off. Cranked right back up but if I
went over 10 mph it would loose power and shut off again. Did
this 4 to 5 times before I did a 12 mile trip back to the dock at 10 mph.
Up to that point there was no trouble with the motor. Haven't checked
anything yet. Looking for suggestions,

Check for spark.----Spark must jump a gap of 3/8" or more on each lead.-----Perhaps test run with a portable tank and hose.

Thanks, If spark is weak what do I look for? Coils, stator, power pack ???
