95 150 intruder no spark

started fine on the muffs at home. Got to the lake and it would not start found that it has no spark after new spark plugs. and what spark plug gap?

Disconnect the kill wire at the powerpack, see if spark returns.

that worked! unpluged it and she started right up pluged it back in and all is well. Now is this something that happens alot?

Check your kill switch, if you don't have a kill lanyard thingy then check the black wire with yellow stripe behind the ignition switch, make sure everything is tight and no loose hanging wires nearby.

caution....disconnect the battery first, if any v gets to the kill wire it will terminate the powerpack instantly.

Make sure the ignition switch isn't twisting in the bezel when you turn the key. Something is grounding the kill wire.

Apparently on your boat...yeh:D

Had somethin similar 2 yrs ago, I was getting elec shocks through the throttle handle, loose bezel allowed the ignition switch to spin when I turned the key to start, I was getting big time voltage through my hands.
Poking around with a $9 elec meter can show a lot.
Touching the throttle lever and the steering wheel showed 12v on the meter.

Thanks jonesg I did find a loose wire on my kill lanyard and fix it but I'll check the start switch and for loose wires under the dash thanks for the help blatt70
