I have a pair of 95, 225 cauberated Offshore counter rotating motors in my cat. The port engine has recently started using way too much oil. I changed the pressure regulator(Thought it might be busted.) which is mounted to the head. This gives pressure to the remote oil tank which then pressures oil to the reserve tank mounted on the engine block. This is where the oil pump takes suction and discharges to the fuel system. I am still sucking way too much oil which is not being burned but is blowing out from the exhaust system. It is consuming so much oil that the remote tank can not keep up with the demand on the "Reserve Tank" which is being slowly sucked dry!!! Also when I am tied up at dock with the motors trimmed up out of the water oil is slowly pressured out of the resivoirs via the two bottom carburators. This stops if I depressure both oil tanks. I am guessing that it is a problem with the oil pump but have no prior experience with said pump. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Anyone out there have any suggestions before I drop the bucks on a new oil pump?
