I was wondering where exactly is the idle screw located on the motor. My boat has been experiencing idle problems since I've had it. After reading alot of these posts it sounds like I could have a bad stater. Thanks for all the good info. It's good to hear other people have had the same problems.

Re: 95 force 120

The (idle screw) is located behind the throttle and shift cable on the starboard side of the engine at the bottom of the (tower shaft rod), if your not familar with the term starboard (that's the right side of the engine standing behind the boat on dry land).
There's a screw and nut (idle screw) that can be adjusted to set idle speed located at the bottom of the tower shaft!
Don't mess with the adjustment at the top of the tower shaft that goes under the flywheel or you will throw your timing off!

Why do you beleive you have a stator problem?
