The Chrysler and Force 3.5 to 5 hp engines (and Gamefisher 5 hp) from 1979 till 1999 used the same impeller, now sold by Mercury as F521065-1. Impeller is the biggest ripoff I've ever seen for it's size, $95.50 retail list price. It is the size of a 2014 $1.00 coin. I've bought functioning entire Force 5 hp's for under $95.50!

Question: Is there a market for this impeller at say retail $19.95- $29.95? or has everyone long ago scrapped these engines?

Unfortunately, for discontinued items like this one, price gouging is almost imminent. Anyways, the cheapest I can find is on *bay, new for $68 including s&h. I think that is you best choice for now unless you'd rather get another used motor that is a newer model. I got my 7.5 HP mercury for about $200 about three years ago. And the impeller costs less than $15. Personally, I'd go with the latter rather than get gouged.

Let me rephrase my question:

I know this part is outrageously priced, I had to buy one and the cheapest I found was like $50 on eBay with shipping included. What if an impeller manufacture were to make this part and retail it for say $19.95 to $29.95, is there still an interest in this part for 1979 to 1999 3.5 to 5hp Chrysler, Force, Gamefisher engines, or have they all been scrapped by now?

From the pricing of this impeller, I would surmise there is very little if any market for it. Otherwise, if there is still a good demand for this unit aftermarket makers like Quicksilver, Sierra or Mallory would have marketed them.
