I'd stick with what ever the OEM recommends. If the alarm isn't right, you could burn up a power head.

Doesn't the alram go off when it's grounded? so wouldn't any alarm work as long as it sounds when the tan wire is grounded?

All I can say is, it's your mtr and your choice. I've never messed with suzuki. Their color coding is different from BRP.

ya for sure your right. I ordered the right one. I have a question about a temp gauge. If i put a fitting in both heads can I run both senders to one gauge or will I have to run two gauges I'd like to know if either head gets hot so i'm thinking if i run both senders to the same gauge if one head heats up it will raise the needle? or is it a resistance thing? I don't have room to install two temp gauges.

You will need two temp gauges .I have been a BRP mechanic for many years and never once seen a temp gauge to one gauge.

Ok I have a couple questions for you.. I just pulled out my thermostats and put em in some water heated it to 150 and they don't seem to open until 180 or so even then they take a while and the one doesn't seem to open all the way. I have an over heat sensor that when i unplug it stops the alarm from going off. do i need a new sensor everytime it over heats? not that i plan to overheat it just curious. I have ordered the sensor and the thermostats. thanks oh and should i run two temp gauges or just one and rely on the alarm as well.

change the thermostats....new one sare usually set for 140.....i ran two temp senders to a switch tht was connected to one gusge, and i would flip the switch to check ech head....it gave me lots of issues.....and it seemed one was always off.... so i just installed another guage...so now each had had a sender going to its own gauge.....I like that better.......bob
